|
Brussels Walks is a spin-off of Klare Lijn, an organisation that started developing guided tours in Brussels in the magical year 2000.
In 2007, we implemented Brussels Walks for English spoken tours. Both in Brussels, as in other cities in Belgium.
For our tours, we can rely on a core of 17 fully qualified guides. People who are all passionate about Brussels.
So make sure that, prior to coming to Belgium and/or Brussels, you drop up a line. We're quite sure we can really contribute to making you love our cities even more!... Enjoy Brussels ! | |

150th anniversary of Les Misérables
In order to write Les Misérables, French writer Victor Hugo decided to find lodgings in Brussels and nearby Waterloo. A local publisher won the esteem of Hugo and got to publish the novel. It proved to be very beneficial to both parties.
Some year later, Hugo's son Charles decided to turn the novel into a play. And for various reasons, it was again Brussels where it would be staged for the very first time.
Victor Hugo spent about 1,5 years in this town. Where was the train station at that time? Which hotels did he stay at? Where did he have an appartment or house? Where did his mistress live? Where did his wife die? Which pubs would he go to? And which places did he write about in his letters, novels and poems. You'll find out if you book a tour with us!
